Broke 18,000 words for today when my goal was 15,000 for Friday. At this rate I should be at 20,000 for tomorrow and the new goal is to break 25,000 by the end of the long weekend. I don't know if it's the most appropriate way of celebrating Remembrance Day, but I can still be grateful that I live in a country where a young woman like me can pursue all sorts of creative dreams and not feel ashamed or afraid.
I sent in my blog post for Writers & Artists today. I believe it should go live by Monday so I won't worry about putting up a bunch of links on this post. I think that I already put the main site up a few posts ago, anyways.
And in case you were wondering, the competition currently stands at 18,077 - 19,266. I'm catching-up again. Maybe this weekend I'll slip into the lead again only to lose it come the working day.
I've outdone the 50,000 word count during November before, but I don't think that any of my past attempts ever started as strong as this. 1,667 words is going by so quickly this time around. Just imagine what damage I could do if I weren't working full time. Then again, I am highly motivated by time crunches and a decent amount of pressure. For some reason that just doesn't carry over to Camp NaNoWriMo. I'll say it again as I have before, maybe I'll give it another try this year. We'll see which projects I'm working on. If I finish White Rabbits that will give me 3 in-progress post-first-drafts that need attending to. That being said, my sad little 15,00o words of Confessions of a Devil could use some love, too.
Clearly NaNoWriMo2014 hasn't burned me out yet in week one if I'm already planning the next project!
Well, off I go to get my narrator-reviving rest. Here's hoping for a good 3,000 words for tomorrow!
Happy Writing!
